A short history of architecture

This handy book proposes a historical account of architecture in Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, through a brief presentation of its most important monuments. Introducing over 70 edifices located mainly in the centre city, it will accompany you through centuries of architectural styles presented in chronological order.
From half-timbered houses and churches of the Middle Ages, to townhouses constructed between the Renaissance and late 18th century, not forgetting the Haussmann style quarters of the 19th century and Art Nouveau influence.., there are an impressive number of buildings to discover.
This book pretends in no way to be exhaustive. More publications are in the works that will comprise a complete collection.
